(Robert) Bruce Haywood

Retired at 56 and now live on northern Lake Huron with my beautiful wife of 48 years. Spent my careers mostly in senior management. Never did figure out what I wanted to be. Just rolled with the punches.
Like to watch the waves, hunt, fish (mostly king salmon and steelhead), ride our Harleys and spend time with family, especially grandkids. Past President of Michigan Duck Hunters Association, responsible for passage of Mich. Duck Stamp Law. Carved waterfowl decoys and competed in world competition. In 1977 won the California Open decoy carving competition. Ate a lot of wild ducks and geese (threw that one in just for the greenies). It is May,2013 and my bears (see pics) now number five, mama, three cubs and the boar. Cubs are really cute. Can hardly wait for hunting season as the cubs eat really well. Taste like a cross between bald eagle and spotted owl. Should go really well with the 6 lbs. Rainbow Trout in our pond or the deer fawns on our 120 acres.

Skipping as much as possible. ROTC. Being on the rifle team and missing study halls to practice for inter-school competition. Was favored by Principal Col. Clark because I was 2nd Lt . He would send me out with the mission to find and report on kids skipping. Strangely, I never found any. Biology with Mrs. Middleton and History with Bulldog Stephens. Hated both, the classes that is. The ugly school colors. Trying to convince Miriam S. to go out with me.
