Reunion Survey

On October 4, 5 and 6, 2013, the Mumford Class of '63 held our 50-year reunion featuring a Pre-Reunion supper/informal get-together on Friday night at the Knollwood Country Club, the Reunion at the Somerset Inn on Saturday night and a Breakfast at the Somerset Inn on Sunday morning. Friday night was a warm-up with initial introductions and time to talk and mingle in a comfortable setting. Over 380 of us reunited on Saturday, with the night being exciting, but much too short. On Sunday, we met at the hotel for breakfast before everyone left for their respective homes. Names and stories about those who attended and those who could not join us were affectionately told, embellished and savored. The weekend confirmed that with all of our similarities, we remain a very special group. It was great to re-connect with old friends and classmates.

That said, we, the reunion committee, were asked all weekend, "What are we doing next?"

This survey pertains to each of the events and will help us decide the "ifs" and "whens" of what we do in the future. We'd also like to know what we did right and what we could do better. Please take a few minutes to provide your feedback so that the next event will be successful and to your liking. There are a reasonable number of questions; please answer any or all for which you have time. Do not feel obligated to answer all of them. (though, we really would like to hear your opinions.)

Thank you,

Your Reunion Committee

* Answer Required
1)   * Which event(s) did you attend?

Friday night dinner at Knollwood Country Club
Saturday night reunion at Somerset Inn
Sunday morning breakfast at Somerset Inn

Please check all that apply.
2)   * How did you register for the event(s) you attended?

  All on the Website
  By US Mail
3)   * Knowing that the Saturday Reunion price included the meal, decorations, reunion book, photo give-away, valet parking, security and "goody bag"; do you think the cost to attend was reasonable?

4)   Was there any element of this reunion that you think should be changed for future reunions (location/facilities, food served, pricing, etc)?

5)   Timing: This was an early fall reunion. Based on your family, work and retirement schedule, what time of year do you feel is best for having a reunion?

  January February March
  April May June
  July August September
  October November December
  Doesn't Matter - I'll be there!
  Doesn't Matter - I won't be there anyway

You can choose more than one.
6)   Timing: Our next reunion will be more casual. When should it be?

  1 year (maybe a picnic)
5 years is OK for a less formal get together
  10 years is frequent enough
Not interested in another reunion of any kind
7)   What activities would you like to see planned for our next reunion?

  Saturday Night Social
  Golf or Sporty Outing
  Trip to an interesting location
  Weekend-long event

Please check all that apply.
8)   If you checked "other" on the above question, what do you have in mind?

9)   Our attendance was great. What can we do to insure attendance stays the same or increases for our next reunion?

10)   What other comments do you have for the committee planning the next reunion in five years or a more informal event in 2014?

11)   To stay in touch we have arranged to keep our website open for 10 more years. What can we add to make the site one of your regular stops on the internet? How can we make it more user friendly for you?

12)   Knowing that the internet eliminates the need to live in the Detroit area, would you be interested in helping plan any activities in the future? No commitment needed; just an idea if you are willing to be "asked"?

13)   Where did you get most of your information about our reunion events?

  Our reunion website
  Friends and/or classmates
  Email or US mail
Posters that were put up in various businesses
14)   What method of payment did you use to pay for reunion events?

  Credit Card
I would use PayPal if offered
15)   Last Question! Please tell us what we did right and/or wrong on our 50-year Reunion. We certainly want to hear the good stuff, but we are willing to listen and learn how we can make it better for future reunions.
