Larry and I went to Bagley together. The summer that we were eleven years old, we decided to go to Windsor to buy firecrackers (that were not for sale in Detroit). The two of us traveled all the way from Curtis to the Ambassador Bridge on one bicycle by taking turns on the handlebars. When we got to the bridge, we were told that we could cross over to Canada without a note from our mothers.  Imagine two eleven year olds taking such a trip today, let alone being allowed to leave the country with a note from our mothers!  We had so much more freedom back then.  He was a really nice guy, and we had a great summer together.
