Chuck, I was at first distressed to find that no one had left a comment , perhaps because you have been gone for 19 years. Chuck, you were a tremendous person: a  natural leader, a great athlete, avid Detroit sports fan, funny, smart and generous. You were  universally admired and destined for greatness. We were in Explorer Scouts together and roommates in college.  The first day I transferred to Hampton elementary in the third grade I was pushed backwards over David Posner by Bruce Frankel. Chuck came to my rescue before my still untamed impulsiveness led to a fight. I soon became life long friends with Chuck and also Bruce, aka Bosco and David Posner who stuck me with my undergrad nickname in Sammy's of " Betty ". [Nothing to do with cross dressing]. Chuck was destined to be a leader early on. He was an Eagle Scout,  Leader of the NFTY , the reformed Judaism high school organization. Chuck was president of Temple Israel and a principle in the Honigman Miller law firm. You, Danny Syme, Mark Shook and I were all in  Rabbi Monte R. Syme's Hebrew school class together. Prior to going inside we used to flatten our small milk cartons and  whip them up onto the roof. There were probably several hundred ot them from our competition. Our young families shared a memorable Thanksgiving together in 1988 and we both attended the 1990 Sammy reunion in Ann Arbor. An untimely death at 48 from a cerebral aneurysm took you from your wife Sheri and 4 kids. I cannot state how great a loss it has been but your short life enriched all of us and we will always remember you.
