Comments:
I developed Multiple Sclerosis in 1973.
My husband Bill and I moved to Naples, Fl in 1980.
I became very active with the National MS Foundation. Bill passed away October 1, 2008 and I have decided to stay in FL and make a new life.
In August, 2008 my book was published. It is titled "I Have MS, It Doesn't Have Me!" My husband was so proud of me, it didn't help his passing away but it left me a happy feeling.
I've worked for years for Kelly Temporary Service and the past thirteen years I've worked for the Forum Club. It gives me pleasure to get dressed up and spend time with 500 of my closest friends.
I'm hoping to come to the 50th, thanks to Facebook I've become reacquainted with so many great old and new friends.
I have been very active with MS society and ran the walk here in Naples. I was chosen by the Coller County Business Association to redo my kitchen and bathroom to make them handicap accessible for me and they are building a ramp for me to go out my front door. I feel so honored to have this done for me. I now have the most beautiful kitchen and bathroom so I will be able to stay here in warm Florida.
I'm learning that I'm a stronger person than I thought myself to be. I have been on my own for five years now and "I'm making it work!"
See those attending in October!
