At the Mumford 50 year reunion: We chatted after we checked in. It was an auspicious way for the evening to begin. We had a second chance to 'shoot the breeze,' when she posed while sitting next to me--Ms. Betty Louise. (It was for the photo of the Bagley class of 1957, the year that we were age eleven.)
Bagley was better because Shelley attended. My sister knew her sister, so we were 'doubly-friended.' Shelley was close to her family members--immediate and extended. Her parents were Oscar and Goldie. I remembered as soon as she told me. I thanked Shelley's husband for his military service. She thanked my husband for his own. We are sad to see Shelley go even though we know: all of us are only here 'on loan.'
What a shock! I last heard from her only 2-3 months ago. She was very upset about Harvey who
was in Rehab. due to his medical problems. Yet she's the one who now has died. What was it
from? I was hoping to see her on my next Michigan trip. About 10-12 years ago she and Harvey
made a trip here to California for a family event. They took a day to visit us here and we spent a nice day together having lunch and touring Hollywood sights. When I'd visit family in Michigan
we talked on phone but never seemed to touch bases to meet.
Being in Girl Scouts and other activities we managed to see each other often before HS graduation.

I sure will miss her. We had our good times! RIP!
