I was so shocked to see this news just now, in my email announcements. We just saw Rick 2 1/2 weeks ago at Jim and Rick's 50-year medical school reunion. He was a long-time friend of ours, as is his dear wife, June. We shared the same wedding anniversary date and although we didn't see them frequently, we still stayed in touch. May his memory be a blessing and may he rest in peace.
What a tragic thing. Just saw June and Richard at our 51st Med School Reunion and he was the picture of good health. He was still working and publishing. Condolences to June and the entire family. He was a good man.
Richard was a nice man to know. He was a standout among the one thousand or so--in our class of 1963. (So states Helen G. and I agree.) I saw Richard at reunions four-0 and five-O, and that was a highlight for me. I was glad I had decided to go, and to see whom I wanted to see. Among the most engaging ones in the room, he was exquisitely matched by his June.

Couldn't have been anyone nicer than him among
Nearly 1000 1963 classmates. I'm sure he'll be very much missed.
