I didn't know Harvey, but would have wanted to.  He married one of my cousins.  He answered the phone when I tried to re-connect with her in 2005; he was very pleasant.  I am glad he lived long enough to be a proud grandpa.

I understand from one of his relatives-by-marriage that Harvey took good care of himself.  He didn't have the longevity he deserved.

One of my possessions is a letter from my late mother, describing Harvey's wedding to Marsha in 1970.  The couple had been blessed to have several grandmas present.

I knew Harvey when I was at Mumford. He was a very nice, kind, and smart person. I visited him at his house many times with my neighbor Arnie Surowitz.  We thought Harvey  was an electronic genius. He knew Morse code and had a ham radio in his basement.  We had fun trying to think of new and weird inventions. He had a wonderful warm smile. I feel bad I did not keep in touch with him since high school but Arnie saw him several times in his later years.
